OUR STORY

Do not lie to yourself.

Fifteen years ago my mother said one sentence to me that changed my life. Today it is the principle I built Reservia on.
I was 21.
It started with a remark that sounded, at the time, like a joke.
A friend looked at me and said:
"Hey... you have a hole in your hair."
She laughed.
Maybe I did too.
Then I went home.
I stood in front of the mirror and looked at the back of my head.
The patch was small.
But when I ran my hand over it, I felt something I had never felt before: my scalp, smooth, under my fingers.
My hair had always mattered to me. I was the one who was always well cut, always put together. It was part of how people saw me.
And suddenly that was disappearing.
Then a second patch appeared.
Then a third.
Within weeks there was no hiding them.
I looked for answers everywhere. The internet. Forums. Other people's stories. Remedies. I found everything and its opposite.
We went to the hospital.
I was told it could be a deficiency and that I should be patient. That my hair would probably grow back.
I was 21 years old.
And I was being told to wait.
I stopped going out.
I ended up shaving my head.
And I started wearing a cap.
I wore it for almost a year.
Not because I liked caps.
Because I did not want anyone to see my head.

My mother had not given up

While I was starting to accept that my hair might never come back, my mother kept looking.
A friend of hers told her about a first method: garlic, rubbed on the bare patches.
We tried it. For weeks.
There seemed to be a very slight difference, but nothing that could convince me.
So my mother went back to her friend.
And this time she was told about a plant found in North Africa, in Morocco, which her friend knew about through someone who had been through something similar. With one condition: it had to be used fresh, there.
I still remember the day my mother walked into my room.
I was lying down. I did not want to go out anymore.
She looked at me and asked:
"How much longer are you going to stay like this?"
Then she said something I have never forgotten.
"When you do this, you are lying to your own brain. You are telling it this will never grow back. You are putting that on yourself when you do not even know what is possible. Do not lie to yourself."
Then she added:
"If there is a problem, then there is a solution. You just have to look for it."

So we left

A few weeks later my mother and I were in North Africa, in Morocco.
She left everything behind to come with me.
We stayed six months.
Every morning. Every evening.
It was not pleasant.
But something had changed. For the first time in months, I was not just waiting. I was fighting.
And in the middle of all that, there was something I had not expected.
It was the furthest I had ever traveled. I discovered another culture. I met people. I made friends.
And there, I did not feel watched.
I was not the boy with holes in his hair anymore.
I was just me.

Then one day I saw them

The first ones were tiny. Almost impossible to make out.
But I knew them. I knew exactly where to look.
I ran my fingers over my scalp and I could feel them coming through.
They were white.
We were told there that this could happen, and that the color would come back with time.
It did. But it took months more.
I will never forget those first white hairs.
Because they meant far more than regrowth.
I had almost given up on something that mattered enormously to me.
Not because I knew it was impossible.
But because I was exhausted. Because I no longer wanted to fight.

My mother left me one last sentence

When my hair started growing back on its own, she told me:
"Remember this. Whatever happens in life, do not hurt yourself. And above all, never lie to yourself. Be straight with others, and be straight with yourself."
That sentence never left me. It has shaped my decisions, my choices, the way I build things.
And fifteen years later, it became the heart of Reservia.
WHAT I FOUND WHEN I LOOKED
When I started looking into hair loss in women, I found a number that stopped me.
One in three American women between 18 and 50 is iron deficient.*
Not tired. Not run down. Iron deficient, measured, in a national health survey of 8,021 adults.
And among adults whose blood work shows nothing at all, no anemia, no flag, roughly one in nine is deficient anyway.
Those are the women nobody is looking for.
The result comes back inside the range. The appointment moves on. And the shedding does not.
I know that sentence. I was given it at 21.
So I read. The studies. The formulations. The labels. The doses. For weeks.
And the longer I looked, the more one question kept coming back:
why is it so hard to know exactly what you are taking?
Lactoferrin was printed on the front of the box, then dosed at a level that could not do much. Cofactors were there in the cheap forms your body still has to convert. And many of them put the whole question inside a proprietary blend: one total weight for a list of ingredients, so you cannot tell how much of the expensive one you are getting.
I am not going to tell you what any of those companies intended. I do not know.
I only know what is printed on their labels, and what is not.

Nothing to hide

It is not a tagline chosen in a meeting room.
It is my mother's sentence.
So we started with the simplest thing: showing you exactly what is in every dose. No proprietary blend. No amount disappearing behind a single total.
The quantities are stated. The formulation choices are owned.

We could have made it easier

The complete formula, at the doses we wanted, did not fit a small capsule.
We had two options. Reduce the amounts, or make the capsule bigger.
We chose the second.
It is not the more comfortable choice. It is harder to swallow.
But it was the right one, because Reservia has rested on the same idea from the start: do not cut what we believe is necessary to make the product easier to sell.

And we agreed to look at the truth honestly

We sent our finished formula to an independent laboratory.
The first lactoferrin result was not the one we expected.
We did not hide the problem. We worked to understand it. We changed the raw material. We had new analyses carried out.
And when the final report is issued, it will be published on our testing page. In full. Both runs. The one that failed and the one that did not.
Publishing only the good one would make the good one worth nothing.
WHAT I CAN PROMISE YOU
I cannot promise you that Reservia will bring your hair back.
Nobody should promise you that.
My cause was not yours, and no supplement would have fixed what I had. Your body is different from mine, and the cause of hair loss can differ from one person to the next.
What I can promise you is something else.
I will not lie to you.
I will not keep important information from you.
I will not ask you to believe what is written on our box.
And if something needs to be verified, we will have it verified.
Because that is exactly what I would have wanted to find at 21, standing in front of that mirror.
Someone who did not just say:
"Wait."
But someone who said:
"Let's look."

Fifteen years ago I wore a cap to hide my hair

Today I have nothing to hide.
That is why Reservia exists.
